welcome!
Hi, I’m Vicki.
and I am so glad you’re here.
As a Christian author, editor, and mom of two fantastic children, my passion is to inspire and encourage parents with the truth of who God says our children are—fearfully and wonderfully made with an incredible voice and perspective to share with the world. More importantly, as someone only a little further down the road of neurodiverse parenting, I want to navigate this journey with you as a mentor, cheerleader, and friend.
Here, you can find out more about my first children’s book, Not Sorry To Be Me, which I co-wrote with my daughter, check out my blog and resources page, sign up for my mailing list to receive my monthly newsletter, or simply send me a message to say hello. I can’t wait to get to know you!
I am so excited about the upcoming launch of my first book: Not Sorry To Be Me, which I co-wrote with my daughter Isla.
A heartwarming, beautifully illustrated rhyming picture book about finding friendship in spite of our differences and celebrating the unique gifts we each have to offer.
Sorry the cockatoo is different from the other birds in the forest. His special gift allows him to perceive the world in vivid colors, while others can only see in black and white and gray. His vibrant world can be overwhelming for him to navigate, and he ends up apologizing—a lot! Fed up with his unusual and annoying behavior, his peers subsequently reject him, missing out on the unique perspective he has to offer. Sorry wonders if he’ll ever have a friend, until one kind, curious bird comes along and asks to see Sorry’s world through his eyes. From this shared understanding, a friendship is forged, and two lives are forever changed.
As Sorry and his new friend discover the joys of new connections and perspectives, young readers will understand that we are each created perfectly—just as we are—and no one should ever have to apologize for simply being themselves.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made: Celebrating the Children God Gave Us
Repeatedly, God draws us back to His Word, inviting us to look upon our offspring with fresh eyes—with His eyes. For when we love them the way He loves us, we, in turn, point them back toward their Father, and show them who and Whose they truly are.
some recent thoughts:
Don’t Give up: Cultivating a Harvest in the Trenches of Motherhood
He sees it all: The daily struggle and the sacrifice, the worry and the tears, the selfless, overwhelming, unconditional love poured out day after day after day even when it takes everything we have. And He responds—with a purpose, a promise, and a plea: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9, NIV).
Living Extraordinary Lives: Lessons from Biblical Motherhood
We need only look to God’s Word to see for ourselves—to meet the mothers whose stories are sprinkled throughout the pages of Scripture. Like the majority of us, they were ordinary mothers living ordinary lives—raising children, serving their husbands and families, and managing their households—except without the sweatpants.

I would love to connect with you, hear your story, and see if there's a way I can walk alongside you.
