Hi friends 🙂
Welcome to this little space— I’m so glad you could join me here! Here’s a little more about me to help get us better acquainted!
I’m a Jesus-loving word girl through and through and never happier than when I’m writing, editing, or reading. I even read grammar books in my free time—and enjoy them! 😜 It’s my passion and calling to use my words to encourage women to pursue Jesus-centered, joy-filled living in the trenches of motherhood especially in the realms of anxiety and special needs parenting.
In addition to writing and editing, I am beyond privileged to work for The Joyful Life Magazine as their Associate Managing Editor. My journey with them began as a volunteer on both the devotion and editorial teams before I joined the staff team officially—and I am blown away every day by the blessing it is to be able to use my gifts within this amazing community of women.
I’m a girl mom to two feisty, fantastic little ladies. It’s a fun stage—where they’re getting a bit more independent but still actually like me! My oldest also has autism and I write quite a bit about the challenging yet uniquely rewarding journey as an autism mom.
I’m extremely blessed to have been married to my best friend Steven for the past 11 years. We were both born in Scotland and moved to the US shortly after we married. While living away from the rest of our extended family is not easy, it’s been a strengthening experience for our marriage, and there’s really no one else I’d rather be on this adventure with.
Nature is my happy place. Lakes, mountains, woodland trails—all are places where I feel I can truly breathe and experience the Creator in a tangible way. Some of my other favorite things include earl grey tea, brunch, Jane Austen novels, Lindt chocolate truffles, traveling, and watching almost any sport—though my favorites are track and field and F1 racing. I’d love to know if we have anything in common!
